Concert Between Two Worlds – Riga, October 16, 2026

On October 16, 2026, the “Kamēr…” youth choir invites you to the “Between Two Worlds” concert at the “Ave Sol” Concert Hall. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. The programme was inspired by the choir’s concert tour to Hong Kong and Taiwan. During this journey, Latvian and European choral music traditions were heard in Asia. In autumn, the choir will travel to Turin, where “Kamēr…” has been selected as the resident choir of the international conducting competition “Fosco Corti”. The concert looks back on the Asian experience before the next creative journey. The programme will feature European and Baltic choral music. At its centre will be the inner world of the human being and emotions recognisable across cultural boundaries. The evening’s musical journey will lead from sacred silence and prayer to love, longing and light.

What to Expect at the Event

“Between Two Worlds” brings together the experiences and choral repertoire of two different cultural spheres. Alongside older European choral traditions, the concert programme will also feature the voice of contemporary Latvian music. The programme explores joy, sadness, hope, loneliness and the need for light.

The concert will take place on October 16, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at the “Ave Sol” Concert Hall, 7 Citadeles Street, Riga, LV-1010.
