NVO House Invites You to an Online Seminar on Current Accounting Practices for Associations – Online, October 14, 2026
NVO House invites representatives of Riga-based associations and foundations to participate in an online seminar on current accounting practices for associations. The seminar will take place on October 14, 2026. The session is scheduled from 14:00 to 17:00. It will focus on the basic principles of accounting for associations and current requirements. Participants will learn about the legislation governing accounting practices. The seminar will address the preparation and storage of supporting documents. The programme will also cover the role of e-invoices and practical challenges. The seminar will discuss maintaining analytical records using single-entry and double-entry accounting systems. The accounting of business activity income and expenses will be examined. Participants will learn about significant differences between the accounting of commercial companies and non-profit organisations. Special attention will be given to tasks to be completed before preparing the annual report. The seminar will be led by Ingrīda Lejniece, an instructor of accounting qualification courses and seminars.
What to Expect at the Event
The seminar will explain tax legislation provisions applicable to associations, the maintenance of analytical records, and the accounting of business activities.
