London Chamber Orchestra ANONIMI, conducted by Margarita Balanas: Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 — Dzintari Concert Hall, June 3, 2027

On June 3, 2027, London Chamber Orchestra ANONIMI will perform at the Small Hall of Dzintari Concert Hall. The orchestra will be conducted by Latvian cellist and conductor Margarita Balanas. This will be Margarita Balanas’s Latvian conducting debut with the chamber orchestra she founded in London. ANONIMI will perform in Latvia for the first time. The orchestra was founded in 2023 as both a chamber orchestra and a charitable organisation. Its work is based on bringing together outstanding musicians and promoting access to classical music. The concert will focus on Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4. It is one of the composer’s brightest and most refined symphonic works. The symphony is distinguished by its chamber-like sound and apparent simplicity. Behind it lies profound philosophical content. The setting of the Small Hall is especially suited to experiencing the intimacy and intensity of this work’s chamber-music character.

Why attend
