On November 15, 2026, the programme “There Is One Evening” by Elīna and Vestards Šimkus will be performed in the Small Hall of Dzintari Concert Hall. The concert begins at 5:00 p.m. Elīna Šimkus will perform as a soprano, while Vestards Šimkus will play the piano. The programme brings together pages from Latvian vocal lyricism and compositions by Vestards Šimkus. The music of Jāzeps Vītols, Jāzeps Mediņš, Jānis Mediņš, Ēriks Ešenvalds and Vestards Šimkus will be performed. The concert will also reveal stories set to music by Emīls Dārziņš, featuring verses by outstanding poets. The programme’s title is highlighted by the songs “There Is One Evening”, “Song of the Soul”, “Close Your Little Eyes and Smile” and “Happiness”. Elīna and Vestards Šimkus are a tandem both on stage and in life. This mutual understanding creates the programme’s personal and direct atmosphere. Vestards Šimkus’s compositions have been written both for piano and for Elīna Šimkus’s voice. The concert has been created in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia and VSIA “Latvijas koncerti”.

The programme focuses on Latvian vocal lyricism, where the soprano voice meets the sound of the piano. Music by Jāzeps and Jānis Mediņš, Emīls Dārziņš, Jāzeps Vītols and Ēriks Ešenvalds will present stories based on poetry. Alongside them will be original works by Vestards Šimkus, created for this artist duo.

Tickets
Ticket prices range from EUR 20.00 to EUR 30.00. A 20% discount is available to pensioners, students, school pupils, members of associations of politically repressed persons, children up to 7 years of age occupying a separate seat, persons with disabilities and “Goda ģimene” cardholders. Holders of the Jūrmala Resident Card are entitled to a 50% discount.

- Admission is free for children up to and including 7 years of age if they do not occupy a separate seat.
- Visitors in wheelchairs are entitled to a 100% discount, with a place reserved in advance at Dzintari Concert Hall.
- A discounted ticket is valid upon presentation of the appropriate identification document, where required for the specific discount.
